I'll also put together day hikes, primarily to bag peaks and group ATV rides. Trips will usually be on USFS or BLM land and will not involve long distance, t …

What this group is about [Note: This is not specifically a paleo diet group! But, yes, that is one topic which may come up from time to time. Please read the description below.] Interested in the ways of hunter-gatherers? Think you'd like to feel more connected to the earth, at one with the rest of the natural world? Feel the costs of civilization may outweigh the benefits? Do you suspect that, for the sake of life on earth and human well being, the future for humanity should and in fact might s …
CSTF (Colorado Springs Tenkara Fishing) is for people that enjoy a simple fly fishing experience. We will find ourselves fishing some great mountain streams as well as some alpine lakes. We will also schedule fly tying meetups. This group will be a work in progress as we build membership and gain some ideas of where we would like to start and go. I would like to get input from our members before we get lots of time invested in designing this site. I need to have this group financially supported …

This outdoor group is geared towards fairly strenuous outdoor activities in which your body provides the principal means of movement. This includes hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, biking, etc. Members should already be in good physical and mental shape, and be ready for a workout. We try to maintain a decent yet enjoyable pace to accommodate photo stops, rest breaks, and "holy cow" views. We are not trying to race to the top, or get there by a certain time. It's enjoying the journey along the wa …

Hey, we didn't get sober to sit around a church basement all day sharing our experience strength and hope. Let's get outside and see what this world has in store for us as sober individuals. Hiking, climbing, backpacking, skiing, sailing, you name it, we'll do it and might even stop to thank our higher power a time or two for good measure, after all without him (or her or whatever) we would still be sitting around with the blinds drawn wishing we were doing stuff, right? Sober Adventure's main G …
